UNSHELTERED is the story of Willa, a middle aged woman who, in a attempt to get funding to fix up her shoddy old home, learns about the history of her town and especially about a former resident from the 1880's, Thatcher Greenwood. The story then shifts back and forth between Willa and Thatcher, drawing parallels between the two and their place in their respective times.
