WRITING ACROSS THE LANDSCAPE: TRAVEL JOURNALS 1950-2013 gives readers a view of Ferlinghetti's adventure-filled life using mostly unpublished, handwritten notebooks. There are reports on his war years, his time in Cuba and Haiti and even his journey on the Trans-Siberian Railway. These pages are packed with the words of an historic and singular American.

THIS COPY (shown below) was hand signed by Lawrence Ferlinghetti at his office on a page that was bound into the book. It is a new, unopened first edition and comes with a certificate authenticating the signature. Published in September, 2015 by Liverlight, an imprint of W.W. Norton.

LAWRENCE FERLINGHETTI (pictured below from our Wall of Fame) was the literary face of the twentieth and the twenty-first century. He co-founded the world-famous City Lights bookstore in San Francisco and published such greats as Allen Ginsburg, William Carlos Williams, William S. Burroughs, Charles Bukowski and many more. His own writings have been translated into nine languages and sold more than a million copies. Prior to becoming the giant of our industry, he was a sub chaser commander in World War Two and participated in the D-Day invasion. He studied his craft in this country and abroad and holds a doctorate. He was still going strong when passed his 101st birthday. He will be remembered forever. Thank you Lawrence Ferlinghetti for signing our books. R.I.P.
